Avis Reward Days

How often will Avis For Business rewards be sent?

You will be notified via email on a monthly basis if your company has earned Reward Day coupons.

How can I redeem my Reward Day coupons?
  • Once logged into the Avis For Business member site you can simply click "Reserve Now" on the “Earned Rewards” page to book. You can also go directly to and enter your AWD and Reward Day Coupon Number.
    • If you would have more than one Reward Day available to redeem, in the "Discount Code" section of the reservation page, select "Quantity" from the drop down and choose the amount of Reward Days you would like to redeem from those available in your account.
  • You can also call 1-800-831-8000 and provide the Reward Day coupon number and your Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) number.
  • You can apply up to 7 Reward Days per reservation using one coupon number.
How many Reward Day coupons can you use on a reservation?

You can apply up to 7 Reward Days per reservation using one coupon number.

Who is able to use the Reward Day coupons?

You can share the Reward Day coupon number with anyone in your company to use. To redeem they will need to make a reservation with your company AWD.

What types of vehicles are available to rent with the Reward Day coupons?

Reward Day coupons entitle the intended recipient to one day’s daily time and mileage charges on the following car classes:

  • U.S. – Economy, Compact, Intermediate, Standard, Full-Size and Premium
  • Canada, Puerto Rico, Australia and New Zealand – Economy, Compact, Intermediate, Standard, and Full-Size
  • U.S. Virgin Islands – Compact, Intermediate, Standard and Full-Size
  • Europe (excluding Germany) and South Africa – Economy, Compact and Intermediate
Can a Reward Day be used for a one way rental?

No, vehicles must be returned to the renting location it was picked up from.

Can I use a Reward Day coupon after the expiration date?

Unfortunately expiration dates cannot be changed. Forward earned Reward Days to your company’s travelers immediately upon receipt so they have more time to use them.

Why didn’t I receive credit for all the days on my rental?
  • Reward Days are calculated based on the amount of paid rental days. To receive credit, the reservation must have the company Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) number.
  • Travelers should add the company AWD to their Preferred profile by logging in to
If I apply earned Reward Days to my reservation and then have to cancel my reservation, will I lose my earned Reward Days?
  • You will not lose your Rewards Days as long as you cancel your reservation in advance of your scheduled pick-up time. Please refer to the Avis cancelation policy for cancelled reservations details.
If I return my car earlier than the return date on my reservation, will I lose unused Reward Days?
  • Yes, unfortunately you will lose any unused Reward Days. We recognize there can be special circumstances where travel plans change unexpectedly – please Contact Us regarding your rental.

Can more than one person access this site?

For security purposes only the primary contact for your account can access account information and rewards.

How can we change the person in charge of the rewards online?

To protect your company rewards and privacy, only the primary contact has access to rewards. You can change the primary contact details by updating your “Profile”.

Avis For Business Benefits Questions

Are there additional benefits for new accounts?
  • Yes, as a “welcome to the program” bonus, you will receive a reward day after your first completed rental, as well as double rewards for the first 90 days as a member.
How will I know if double rewards are actually being applied within the first 90 days?
  • Your rentals during this time period will appear twice in your rental statement indicating that your rewards have been doubled.
My rentals appear twice within my activity statement, does that mean I will be charged twice?
  • Rest assured, you will not be charged twice. This is just an indication that as a new member, you are earning double rewards within the first 90 days. If you did not join in the past 90 days or are experiencing issues with your statement please contact us.
What’s the difference between Avis Preferred and Avis For Business?
  • Avis For Business gives your company great rates and rewards every time you and your travelers rent using your Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) number.
  • Avis Preferred lets you bypass the counter and opt in to earn points.
Can I earn Avis Preferred Points and Avis For Business company rewards?

Yes, in addition to company rewards earned through Avis For Business, you and your travelers can enroll in Avis Preferred to enjoy counter bypass and opt into Avis Preferred Points to earn points for every dollar spent.


Can I get a central billing account set up?

Small Business accounts can choose from one of our flexible billing options:

  • Your travelers can pay at time of rental by presenting a major credit card.
  • As the business owner, you can open an Avis Express Billing account so all of your traveler’s rentals can be billed directly to an established corporate credit card and your expenses can be consolidated for easy reporting.
